Rather Inclined to Walk in the Brendon Hills

Mothers Day unexpectedly free. Even more unexpected was that Mr G offered to go for a walk, he even suggested we try the Brendon Hills and mentioned an inclined plane on an old railway. I found it and we walked a 5.5 mile route, starting with 1km of 1 in 4 incline. There was a pub half way round where we hoped to have lunch but the smell of boiled cabbage from the carvery was so off putting we walked on, sat under a hedge and ate our emergency rations, a sticky toffee pudding cake and a snickers bar. It was downhill all the way back.
